What we Believe
At The Embassy of God Church, we hold the Bible to be the fully inspired and authoritative Word of God. It is the foundation of our faith and the guiding standard for all we do. Our Declaration of Faith expresses the core truths we stand upon:
The Scriptures
We believe in the full and divine inspiration of the Holy Bible as the written Word of God.
God
We believe in one eternal God who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
He was crucified, died, was buried, and rose again on the third day. He ascended into heaven, where He now sits at the right hand of the Father as our intercessor.
Salvation
We believe that all have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. Repentance, commanded by God, is essential for forgiveness.
We believe that justification, regeneration, and new birth come through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.
Sanctification & Holiness
We believe in sanctification as a work of God’s grace following new birth—through Christ’s blood, His Word, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe that holiness is God’s standard of life for His people.
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit given after a cleansed heart.
We believe that speaking in other tongues, as the Spirit gives utterance, is the initial evidence of this baptism.
Ordinances of the Church
We believe in water baptism by immersion for all who repent, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe in divine healing, provided for all through the atonement.
We believe in the Lord’s Supper and the washing of the saints’ feet.
The Coming of Christ
We believe in the premillennial second coming of Jesus Christ:
First, He will raise the righteous dead and rapture the living saints.
Second, He will reign on earth for a thousand years.
Eternity
We believe in the bodily resurrection, eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.
